Volleyball Recap: Breck Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Breck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Providence Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Breck was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-22, 25-21.

Peyton Grande had an outrageously good game for Providence Academy as she had 13 kills, 11 digs, and three blocks. Grande is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Huegel, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Breck's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Providence Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Breck will face off against rival Minnehaha Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Providence Academy is set to take on their familiar foe St. Paul Academy-Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
