Soccer Recap: Nordhoff Takes a Loss

Nordhoff was the 5-4 winner over Carpinteria when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Nordhoff Rangers fell 3-1 to the Carpinteria Warriors on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rangers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Warriors are ranked 374th).

Nordhoff's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Carpinteria, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1.

Nordhoff will head out on the road to face off against Fillmore at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carpinteria and Channel Islands will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
