Volleyball Recap: Webb Takes a Loss

Webb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the William Blount Governors. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Governors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Webb sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-18.

Webb's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for William Blount, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Coincidentally, Webb and William Blount will both be playing Knoxville T the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Governors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
