Basketball Recap: Imani Trueman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Great Lakes Academy over Varsity Opponent

After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Thursday, Great Lakes Academy came back down to earth. The Great Lakes Academy Gators fell 32-24 to Varsity Opponent on Thursday. The Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 49-18.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Imani Trueman, who posted four points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Bruns, who put up seven points.

Great Lakes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Great Lakes Academy will face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Varsity Opponent has already played their next game (against Twin Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
