Baseball Recap: A+ Charter School Beats Gila Bend for Their Sixth Straight Victory

A+ Charter School came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Gila Bend Gila Monsters 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Maricopa have posted since March 12th.

The team relied heavily on Carson De Paola, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Behnke, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

A+ Charter School's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Gila Bend, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
