Football Recap: Steubenville Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Steubenville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Ursuline Fighting Irish and fell 37-7. The Big Red lost against the Fighting Irish in their previous head to head back in August of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 36-28 score last time.

Ursuline was led to victory by George Camuso and Vincent Fecko. Camuso threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, while Fecko rushed for 127 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Those two passing touchdowns gave Camuso a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steubenville will host Indian Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ursuline, they will welcome Bishop Hartley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
