Basketball Recap: Chicago Christian Takes a Loss

Chicago Christian was the 70-41 winner over Southland College Prep when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southland College Prep on Tuesday.

Southland College Prep found their leader in sophomore Tristan Garner, who went 7-for-17 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garner has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Xavier Lane, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 16 boards.

Chicago Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southland College Prep, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Chicago Christian will venture away from home to face off against Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southland College Prep, they will head out to take on Bloom at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
