West Rusk waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the New Diana Eagles by a score of 28-21. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 72-7 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Judson Dotson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 85 yards and two scores on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 147 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Kameron Brown.

West Rusk didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kemontrea McGregor and Brown.

West Rusk's record now sits at 6-1. As for New Diana, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Coincidentally, West Rusk and New Diana will both be playing Troup the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
