Baseball Game Preview: Golden West Trailblazers vs. Monache Marauders

The Golden West Trailblazers will head out to challenge the Monache Marauders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Golden West has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Golden West is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Redwood, falling 11-5.

Mt. Whitney hit Monache with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Marauders lost 8-1 to the Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Marauders have suffered since April 10th.

Monache saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lewis Green, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Monache and nudges their season record down to 16-9. As for Golden West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

Golden West took their victory against Monache when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
