Recap: Bayside Academy Admirals vs. Robertsdale Golden Bears
The Bayside Academy Admirals waltzed into their match Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 65-38 victory over Robertsdale. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Bayside Academy has managed all season.
Defeat or not, Robertsdale got some senior leadership from Gabe Stevens who scored 11 points and Tanner Williams who scored eight points. The game was Stevens' third in a row with at least ten points.
Bayside Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Robertsdale, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
Bayside Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pensacola Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Pensacola Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 503rd in Florida, while Bayside Academy is ranked 143rd in Alabama). Robertsdale and Chickasaw will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th at.
