Volleyball Recap: Landrum Cardinals vs. Central Eagles

Landrum had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Central Eagles on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals who have now won seven matches in a row.

Landrum walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-11.

Their offense was headlined by Halie Cantrell and Gracie Adams, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Smith and her 27 assists. Preslee Quinn controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Landrum pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Landrum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mid-Carolina on the 5th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
