Baseball Recap: Jarrell Takes a Loss

Jarrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Taylor Ducks, falling 17-1. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Ducks when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jarrell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Tschoerner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Tschoerner got this season.

Jarrell's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Taylor, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-12-1.

While Jarrell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
