Basketball Recap: Fallston Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Fallston Cougars had to suffer through a 53-25 loss at the hands of the Benjamin Franklin Bayhawks. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Fallston's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Griffin Jr., who posted seven points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Oliver Shamburg, who earned 13 points.

Fallston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Benjamin Franklin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Fallston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-46 win against Crofton on the 30th. As for Benjamin Franklin, they will take on Patterson on Thursday.
