Football Recap: McNair Comes Up Short + How To Watch

McNair extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They had to suffer through a 56-17 loss at the hands of the Social Circle Redskins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 38-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Social Circle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Social Circle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Paggett, who rushed for 131 yards and two scores on only eight carries. Paggett's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of King Box, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.

McNair will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Towers at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Social Circle, they will head out to square off against Jasper County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Redskins' offense will have their work cut out for them.
