Softball Recap: Bradford Prep Victorious

Bradford Prep posted their closest victory since March 4th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles 16-15. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-9 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Cayden McKoy, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Alison McLaren was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Bradford Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Bradford Prep back to even at 5-5. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Bradford Prep will welcome Pine Lake Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Piedmont Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
