Basketball Recap: Jones Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Devine, Jones was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 67-63 W over the Calallen Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in November, they had to take a 78-68 loss.

Despite the loss, Calallen still got an impressive performance from Sam Cecava, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Martinez, who posted nine points and four steals.

Jones is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Calallen, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Jones didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-52 loss against Brazoswood on the 14th. As for Calallen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-58 defeat against Alice on the 14th.
