They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Dodgeville on Tuesday. The win was just what River Valley needed coming off of a 10-3 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Richland Center fell victim to Lancaster and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 12-0 loss at the hands of the Flying Arrows. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, Richland Center's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
River Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-4. As for Richland Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Everything went River Valley's way against Richland Center in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 as River Valley made off with a 10-0 win.
