Softball Recap: PACT Charter Panthers vs. North Lakes Academy Huskies

There's no place like home for PACT Charter, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They never let the North Lakes Academy Huskies onto the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for PACT Charter considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Alayna Spiess made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Spiess has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks every time she's pitched this season. Spiess was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.

In other batting news, PACT Charter got a big performance out of Elsie Franklin, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Madison Whitby, who went 2-for-2 with three RBI.

The victory got PACT Charter back to even at 2-2. As for North Lakes Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Spectrum the next time they take the field. PACT Charter will head out to face Spectrum at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, while North Lakes Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
