Softball Recap: Monticello Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Monticello had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They never let the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Billies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Bliss Becker was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Frazer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Monticello's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for North Little Rock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Little Rock, they will challenge Bigelow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
