Recap: Wolfe City Wolves vs. Trenton Tigers
The Wolfe City Wolves had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 43-20 margin over Trenton. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Wolfe City has posted since December 7, 2023.
Wolfe City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Harry Martinez, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cavan Armstrong, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Wolfe City's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-18. As for Trenton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Wolfe City will look to defend their home court on Friday against Celeste at 8:00 p.m. Celeste is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Trenton, they will head out on the road to square off against Honey Grove at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Honey Grove will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
