Preview: Alhambra Bulldogs vs. Deer Valley Wolverines
The Alhambra Bulldogs will face off against the Deer Valley Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Alhambra, who comes in off a win.
Alhambra had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Piedmont with a 45-41 victory.
Sam Gillaspy was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Danny Allan was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Meanwhile, Deer Valley had to suffer through a rough 76-48 loss at the hands of Foothill.
Alhambra's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Deer Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Alhambra suffered a grim 77-53 defeat to Deer Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Can Alhambra avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
