Morris hadn't done well against Kaneland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Morris came out on top against Kaneland by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on October 2nd.

While Morris won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23.

Morris' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyssa Jepson led the charge by getting nine digs and two aces.

Morris has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. As for Kaneland, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-22.

Morris wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sycamore on the 23rd. As for Kaneland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against LaSalle-Peru on the 23rd.
