Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Bruins vs. Castle Rock Rockets

Columbia and Castle Rock are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Columbia Bruins will venture away from home to face off against the Castle Rock Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Castle Rock took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbia, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Columbia blew past Fort Vancouver, posting a 61-16 win. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Trappers are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Castle Rock came up short against Stevenson on Thursday and fell 54-46.

Castle Rock's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Columbia, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Columbia didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Castle Rock when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
