Basketball Recap: Sharpstown Comes Up Short

Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were beaten by the Sterling Raiders 76-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-18 back in January.

Sterling's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dylan Collins, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 15 points and eight steals. Thanks to that strong game, Collins now owns an excellent 46.4% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Braydon Hughes, who went 6-for-9 en route to 19 points along with five boards and five steals.

Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Sterling, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.

Sharpstown has already played their next game (against Milby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sterling, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-64 win against Galena Park on the 12th.
