Baseball Game Preview: Churchill Chargers vs. Medina Valley Panthers

The Churchill Chargers will take on the Medina Valley Panthers in a tournament on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Churchill beat Smithson Valley 4-1.

The team relied heavily on Samuel Kennedy, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Churchill is undefeated when Kennedy posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Jimi Curry also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Medina Valley earned a 9-4 win over Stevens on Thursday.

Reese Hatcher was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Logen Pargas was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Churchill's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Medina Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
