Basketball Recap: Linville Hill Skates Past Lancaster County Christian with Ease

Linville Hill won the last time they faced Lancaster County Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Linville Hill Warriors breezed by the Lancaster County Christian Lions to the tune of 76-36. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Derian Peterseim, who went 9 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Westfall, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points and eight boards.

Linville Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Lancaster County Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Iranzi Smith went 6 for 10 en route to 13 points and four steals. Cooper Gehman also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Linville Hill's record is now 12-1. As for Lancaster County Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Linville Hill has already played their next game, a 52-38 victory against Church Farm on the 21st. As for Lancaster County Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-40 defeat against High Point Baptist Academy on the 17th.
