Volleyball Recap: Norwalk Takes a Loss

Norwalk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Warde Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Norwalk took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-22.

Warde got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zoey Passeck out in front who had 15 blocks. Another player making a difference was Kayla Huynh, who had six digs and three assists.

Norwalk's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Warde, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Norwalk will take on rival Greenwich at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Warde is set to challenge their familiar foe Stamford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
