Baseball Recap: Northside Christian Comes Up Short

Northside Christian fell victim to Grand Lake and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 13-0 to the Hornets. The Warriors have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Northside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Grand Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside Christian will head out to take on Elizabeth at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grand Lake, they will head out on the road to square off against Merryville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
