Basketball Game Preview: Arcadia Hornets vs. Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers

The Arcadia Hornets will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jonesboro-Hodge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Arcadia, who comes in off a win.

Arcadia will bounce into Monday's match after beating Gibsland-Coleman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Arcadia came out on top in a nail-biter against Gibsland-Coleman on Monday, sneaking past 61-58.

Meanwhile, Jonesboro-Hodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Hornbeck.

Arcadia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Arcadia might still be hurting after the 58-32 loss they got from Jonesboro-Hodge in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Arcadia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
