Preview: Preble Shawnee Arrows vs. Milton-Union Bulldogs
Preble Shawnee is 1-7 against Milton-Union since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Preble Shawnee Arrows will head out on the road to face off against the Milton-Union Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Preble Shawnee will be strutting in after a victory while Milton-Union will be coming in after a defeat.
Preble Shawnee can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They breezed by Dixie on the road to the tune of 51-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-7.
Preble Shawnee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brody Morton, who threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. Isaac Blankenship also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Meanwhile, Milton-Union fell victim to Riverside's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 28-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. Milton-Union's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Preble Shawnee's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Milton-Union, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
Preble Shawnee was taken down by Milton-Union 42-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Preble Shawnee, Michael Elam jr. (who rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
