Soccer Game Preview: Montour vs. Chartiers Valley

The Montour Spartans will take on the Chartiers Valley Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Montour needed a bit of extra time to put away Moon Area. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 1-0 shutout. Mario Passaro had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Montour.

Meanwhile, Chartiers Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They and Moon Area finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result kept Chartiers Valley happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 25th.

Montour's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matchups. With that draw, Chartiers Valley's record moves to 9-4-1.
