Baseball Recap: Hickman Comes Up Short

Hickman suffered their biggest loss since April 18th on Saturday. They lost 12-2 to the Kickapoo Chiefs. The Kewpies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Hickman's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Kickapoo, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Hickman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Staley on the 3rd. Hopefully Kickapoo paid attention to the Kewpies' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Kewpies at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
