MaxPreps Top 25 Regional High School Football Computer Rankings

Big shakeups in California leads to a new look in the West Region.


As we get deeper into the playoffs top-ranked teams will start knocking each other off, which will cause shakeups in the Regional Football Computer Rankings.

This week we saw several changes in the West due to some upsets in California, particularly in the Pac-5 Division. Teams like Centennial (Corona), Bishop Amat (La Puente) and Long Beach Poly made significant jumps.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:



West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest:
North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South:
Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast:
Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
