Football Recap: Patterson Takes a Loss

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Patterson was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 43-7 loss at the hands of the Manteca Buffaloes. The Tigers have struggled against the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Manteca's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Gully, who threw for 295 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt. Those 295 passing yards gave Gully a new career-high. Manteca's leading receiver Quinn Martinez was Gully's top target yet again, picking up 179 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Patterson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Manteca, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Patterson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manteca, they are taking a road trip to square off against Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 51.4 points per game this season.
