If East Rowan was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northwest Cabarrus on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the South Rowan Raiders on Tuesday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

East Rowan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, East Rowan saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emory Stewart had nine digs and two assists.

South Rowan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raegan Shell, who had nine digs and two aces. What's more, Shell racked up 19 assists, the most she's had over her last six matches. Another player making a difference was Campbell Withers, who had 11 digs and one assist.
