Softball Recap: Rossville Takes a Loss

If Rossville was feeling good fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Sabetha on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Bluejays on Thursday, falling 20-10. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bluejays earlier this season, when they won 14-2.

Rossville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sabetha, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rossville will venture away from home to square off against Mission Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sabetha, they will head out on the road to face off against Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Bluejays will no doubt try to take advantage of.
