Softball Recap: St. Petersburg Takes a Loss

St. Petersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Seminole Warhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

St. Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Seminole, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Petersburg will welcome Largo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Petersburg's pitchers better be ready for this one: Largo has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Seminole, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m.
