Softball Recap: Livermore Takes a Loss

Livermore blew Capuchino out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Capuchino got their revenge. The Livermore Cowboys fell just short of the Capuchino Mustangs by a score of 9-7. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Maggie Pyke was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kymber Dao was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Livermore's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Capuchino, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Livermore will face off against Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Capuchino, they will challenge King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
