Baseball Recap: Brockport Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brockport can now relate to. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brighton Bruins on Thursday. The Blue Devils' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Brayden Scaccia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one double. Caleb Sheehan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Brockport's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Brighton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Brockport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brighton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Penfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Patriots are coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so the Bruins will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
