Volleyball Recap: Lake Mary Comes Up Short

Lake Mary was the 3-2 winner over Winter Springs when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Tuesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 21-25, 25-19.

Lake Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Winter Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Mary will face off against Crooms Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winter Springs, they will square off against Belen Jesuit at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bears have won four straight at home dating back to last season, while the Wolverines won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
