Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Marshall Barristers

The Lincoln Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Marshall Barristers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lincoln is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Franklin just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Panthers 61-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since February 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Marshall waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over the Mules.

Marshall pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Lincoln beat Marshall 55-47 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
