Baseball Recap: West Genesee Extends Home Winning Streak to 18

West Genesee's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Sunday. They didn't even let the Whitesboro Warriors on the board, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 8-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

West Genesee pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Whitesboro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-4 record.

As of now, neither West Genesee nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
