Basketball Game Preview: South River Rams vs. Metuchen Bulldogs

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Metuchen's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost to Spotswood on the road by a 61-43 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Chargers are ranked 288th).

South River will have to keep a close watch on Cameron Hayes-Durina and Danny Galligan, a pair of players who had a big impact on Metuchen's prior game. Hayes-Durina dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Galligan posted 12 points. Colin Gawronski also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

South River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Metuchen, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
