Baseball Recap: Kennett Drops Season-High Score on Doniphan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennett). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Doniphan Dons a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Caleb Duncan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Anderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

Kennett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kennett's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Doniphan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Kennett will head out to square off against Bernie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Doniphan, they will face off against South Iron at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Dons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
