New Life Christian Academy needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Jeremiah Morrison. The Monarchs blew past the American Leadership Academy Navigators 59-37 on Friday with plenty of help from Morrison, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 20 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last six games he's played.

New Life Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for American Leadership Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

New Life Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-25 victory against Bethesda Christian Academy on the 6th. As for American Leadership Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverside Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
