Basketball Recap: Cumberland Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Cumberland can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They took down the Woonsocket Villa Novans 62-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Clippers also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Woonsocket's loss came despite strong showings from Demetri Brin and Isaiah Guertin. Brin posted six points and seven rebounds, while Guertin put up nine points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Brin a new career-high in assists (three).

Cumberland's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Woonsocket, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Cumberland and North Providence will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. North Providence will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cumberland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woonsocket, they will take on Cranston West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
