Basketball Game Preview: Charleston Math & Science Riptide vs. Palmetto Christian Academy

The Charleston Math & Science Riptide will head out on the road to face off against Palmetto Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Charleston Math & Science has given up an average of 55 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Charleston Math & Science came up short against First Baptist School on Thursday, falling 70-45.

Despite the defeat, Charleston Math & Science had strong showings from Zion King, who posted 12 points, and Benjamin Gilliard, who earned ten points. Charlie Hider was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Palmetto Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Wilson Hall on Friday and fell 64-62.

Charleston Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Charleston Math & Science came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmetto Christian Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 53-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Riptide since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
