Volleyball Recap: Kaidance Katje Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win

Calvin Christian barely beat Coastal Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders blew past the Stingrays 3-0 on Wednesday. The Crusaders have beaten the Stingrays the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Stingrays has come to flipping the script.

Calvin Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding Coastal Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvin Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaidance Katje, who had eight kills, seven digs, and two aces. Katje has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last seven times she's played. Lucy Gordon was another key player, getting nine kills, four digs, and four aces.

The victory got Calvin Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Coastal Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-20.
