Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Springfield's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Springfield hadn't done well against Doyle recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Springfield Bulldogs walked away with a 58-46 victory over the Doyle Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-48 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dequane Davis, who posted 14 points and five boards. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games he's played. Rowen Harris was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 12 points.

Springfield has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Doyle, their loss dropped their record down to 23-11.
