The matchup between Providence Grove and East Davidson on Friday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Providence Grove Patriots were the clear victor by a 7-3 margin over the East Davidson Golden Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on three straight.

They hit East Davidson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Taryn Waugh (3), Alyssa Mesmer (2), and Rylee Stover (2).

Providence Grove's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those four games. As for East Davidson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Grove will host Uwharrie Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence Grove will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last. As for East Davidson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Asheboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Davidson has given up an average of 5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
